The introduction of the iphone a few years ago by Apple brought a whole new dimension to the cell phone industry. The iphone browser interface and touch screen is so appealing to consumers that millions of iPhones have been sold to date.
This had many wireless cell phone manufacturers playing catch up. Both those that already had smart phones and new entrants to the market where all forced to produce phones that consumers would like.

With texting becoming very popular with teenagers, unlimited texting has also been added to the package. Parents can purchase phones for their teens and tweens on an individual plan or add them to their existing plan.
